I find it pretty funny that a song about hatred was only recorded due to love. Dierks Bentley wouldn't have recorded "She Hates Me" if it hadn't received so much support from his team.

As an advance on his next studio album, Bentley released "She Hates Me" on Valentine's Day. The singer sat down with Evan Paul on Taste of Country Nights to talk about the single. There, he shared that he almost didn't cut the song at all.
"She Hates Me" was released with a brilliant music video of poor Bentley really going through it with this 'perfect girl' who hates him. She wrecks his house, spikes his drink, ties him up, and runs him over. It's fun and it's silly, so surprises me to learn how close it was to being neglected.
"In between some serious songs, we just started goofing around on this thing and had so much fun writing it," he said of the writing process. It appears that the song was always going to be a lighter song, which is probably why he didn't pay too much attention to it compared to the other songs he was working on.
Thankfully, his daughters and friends made him realize how good the song was.
Bentley's Daughters And Friends Encouraged Dierks Bentley To Record "She Hates Me"
Bentley said that he didn't care too much about "She Hates Me," but his daughters and friends stepped in.
"(I) Didn't take it too seriously until my kids started singing it back to me and the friends I sent it to kind of freaked out about it," he said.
With such support, it's hard not to pay more attention to something. Given so much support, he doubled down his efforts, and wrote the bridge of the song to complete the lyrics.
He managed to finish the song in time for Valentine's Day, a holiday he's apparently not a fan of. He released "She Hates Me" to juxtapose all the other sappy songs released to celebrate the day of love.
Bentley has some other similarly-themed songs in his catalog. Taste of Country compared the track to "Drunk On a Plane" or "What the Hell Did I Say." So if you relate to those songs, maybe give "She Hates Me" a try if you haven't already.
