Jonas Brothers Are Getting Backlash For Partnering With Rascal Flatts After Inauguration

The Jonas Brothers are facing a huge backlash as they have been the latest artists to suffer from the unforgiving stream of cancellations due to political affiliations. Fans and users online have blasted the "Burnin' Up" singers after the Rascal Flatts, who performed at Donald Trump's second inauguration, announced they were collaborating with the Jonas Brothers for a new song to be released on Friday.

The Rascal Flatts announced the collaboration on X on January 27. "New collab with Jonas Brothers coming your way!! Can't wait for you to hear "I Dare You" THIS Friday!" the Rascal Flatts wrote. They also attached a video of what appears to be a compilation of all the fan's requests for collaborations, with the JoBros being one of the most requested bands.

And while the Jonas Brothers have not said anything about the collaboration, their fans surely had something to say. Many expressed their disappointment in various ways. Some were more "passionate" than others, though. And why, you ask? Well, it all stems from the Rascal Flatts having performed at the Trump inauguration, of course.

Online Backlash

"Hey Jonas Brothers these guys are trumpists, why would you wanna collaborate with them? Are you supremacists too?? If so just tell us so we can unfollow u all thx," one user wrote. "Nah that's okay, we don't want it," another user wrote. "We don't want the Jonas Brothers supporting artists who voted for the orange turd who is out there purposefully ruining people's lives, families, values and identities."

Soon, users filled the social media platform with these types of messages. Some even wondered if fans asked for the collaboration in the first place.

Other users were excited by the collaboration, though. But, as with all things X, they were far less than the ones willing to trash both bands. "I was a huge fan of the Jonas Brothers when I was little and I've been a huge fan of you guys since the 7th grade so I think this is really AWESOME," one user wrote. "Jonas Brothers and rascal flatts collabing is my entire upbringing merging and im so d--n excited about it," another user wrote.

Be that as it may, the Jonas Brothers are not the first ones to be blasted for associating with Trump supporters. Carrie Underwood suffered the same fate as the JoBros shortly after announcing she was performing at the inauguration. Snoop Dogg also lost a bunch of followers after performing at an inauguration event.
