Kelly Clarkson Reportedly Planning A New TV Show: What To Know

Who know's what's going on with Kelly these days? First she's had prolonged absences from her show, then she spoke about how much she was missing touring, and now there are rumors of Kelly Clarkson starting a new show all together.

Despite recently having a heartfelt outburst at her show in New Jersey about how hard it is to fit touring in, she's got another TV show in the works. ""We are bummed 'cause we love doing shows, and it's hard to fit it in," she told the crowd, but she's going ahead with another, anyway.

According to Deadline, the four part special will be a new show called Songs & Stories With Kelly Clarkson. It will be another talk show, featuring favorites from the world of pop music. Such guests as Gloria Estefan, Jonas Brothers, Lizzo and Teddy Swims will all be featured.

The new show will be a deep dive into their lives and run for an hour each. It will give Kelly Clarkson a chance to really get into the nitty gritty of what makes the well loved celebrities tick, and where their inspiration comes from.

The new show is set to be released on NBC in the late summer.

Kelly Clarkson Keeps Straying Further From Music

People clearly love watching Kelly Clarkson on her show, which is why I have no doubt her new one will be popular. But, it just marks another step further away from her true passion as a musician. She still loves writing and performing music, and misses touring and playing to audiences.

She's admitted that her show and the time it takes pulls her from what she really loves. Thankfully for Kelly Clarkson, her new show is only a four episode special. It won't be too much of a burden on her time.

There have been rumors that she will not renew her contract with The Kelly Clarkson Show for another year. Amid her elongated absences and regret and time taken from music, there could be some truth to it.

But, for now, she's still tied into her current show. We can expect to see a little more Kelly Clarkson with her new show airing on NBC, too.
