Luke Bryan is speaking out about people throwing things on stage. Bryan himself was hit with something recently, during his performance of "Country Girl (Shake It For Me)." Now, the 49-year-old is speaking out about the incident, after other artists have also had similar experiences.

"My official statement is people throw things at artists, and they're idiots," Bryan says on The Bobby Bones Show. "It's the deterioration of the moral fabric of how your a** ought to act. This is not a new thing. That was a great thing to get thrown at me."
While rumors swirled that it was a beer can that hit Bryan, he says it was actually a beach ball. Not that it should matter.
"It was a little beach ball. I've had $1,100 cell phones get thrown at me," Bryan says. "They put it on video and they throw it up there. Let's just showcase entitlement. 'I've got an $1,100 iPhone that I'm gonna throw at an artist to get a picture.'"
How Luke Bryan Responded To Getting Hit In The Face
Ever the professional, Bryan just kept on singing after he was hit. But he wanted to do something much more aggressive than just ignoring the incident.
"You hope that you can see who did it," Bryan tells Taste of Country. "I mean, if I saw him throw it, I could have gone right to him. I probably would have jumped right off in there."
Now, the father of two is grateful that he didn't react the way he wanted to, for the sake of the younger ones attending his show.
"If I jump off in there ... there were a lot of little kids down there," Bryan concedes. "At that point, if I'd even stopped it and pointed somebody out, it kills the vibe of the show."
If whoever threw the ball was trying to ruin Bryan's show, they acted a bit too late.
"It's the last song of the night," Bryan says. "It was a big ol' fun party, and I think one person just took it too far."
Bryan will hopefully remain injury-free for the rest of the dates on his current Country Song Came On Tour.
