According to a report by American Songwriter, LeAnn Rimes has exited the UK version 'The Voice' although her departure does not mark a complete exit from the show. Rimes is no stranger to the competition and was even a coach on 'The Voice' last year in Australia. Per The Sun, Rimes reportedly "loved her time on the UK show, but wants to focus on her career in the States." The Country star will now appear on 'The Voice' in the US as a 'mega mentor' alongside Sheryl Crow. A source allegedly told the outlet, "She was hugely popular with cast and crew. And everybody loved having her as part of the team."
Eagle-eye fans noticed that Rimes may have hinted at her exit from the show on social media. Last week, the 'Can't Fight the Moonlight' singer posted on Threads, saying 'Uh.... making a very big life/career decision this morning. Something completely new and different. Something a bit scary and out of my comfort zone... I think I have to say yes! Maybe.'
In a post on Instagram from April 2, Rimes wrote, 'Thank you all for making April full of love, laughter, and connection. May, I am SO ready for you and the exciting new journey I am about to embark on! stay tuned.'
Who Will Replace Rimes On 'The Voice' UK?
LeAnn Rimes will leave big boots to fill, but showrunners have some ideas in mind. A source reportedly told The Sun, "Bosses are currently on the lookout for another female singer to join the all-star line-up. They haven't made a decision just yet but are having conversations." The source added, "They want to secure someone who will cause a lot of excitement around the show and bring a new energy to the competition."
The Sun also confirms that Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones from McFly will reprise their roles on the panel in the upcoming series.
