Steve McBee Sr. of the reality series The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys is immersed in a drama of his own these days. But it sounds like McBee, 52, isn't planning to stay in the slammer for too long. Per the outlet, "he hopes for an early release," either through a presidential pardon from Donald Trump or via the First Step Act. Either way, he's making arrangements for his future potential freedom.
McBee shared, "I've been meeting with pardon attorneys. We're putting everything together to fill out the application and turn everything in."
Todd Chrisley Has Been Advising McBee
Another reality TV personality who ran afoul with the law, Todd Chrisley, has been assisting McBee. Chrisley got a pardon this spring. He was in prison "for conspiracy to commit bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States and tax fraud," per People.
McBee said that Chrisley has been very generous with hs time and support. "We've had hours of conversation. He doesn't owe me anything, and he's texted me every other day, like, 'Checking on you, buddy. How are you feeling today? It's going to be okay. Everything's going to be all right. We're going to get through this. I'm going to help you any way I can.'"
Before Going to Prison, McBee Had Thanksgiving With His Family
With the start of his prison sentence looming. McBee had Thanksgiving with his loved ones. They include his former wife and four sons. After spending time together, they jumped on a bus to Yankton three days later.
He's Attempting To Look on the Bright Side
Being in prison is not an easy experience. McBee surely knows that. Still, he is maintaining an upbeat attitude. Per the outlet, he explained, "I'm afraid if I come out, and I just look like me, they're going to be like, 'Really? You had months to work out.' That's a lot of pressure! I have to go in there and hit it hard. Yankton is an old college, and they said they have a really good gym in there and that the food is better than a lot of other places. I'm trying to find all the positives."
He hopes to be free in time for his son Cole's upcoming nuptials to Kacie Adkinson. "When I'm out, we're going to have a big wedding,' McBee vowed.
