Kelce previously said that it would be an honor to perform for Trump at the Super Bowl. He drew a lot of backlash from Swifties. He said, "It's awesome. It's a great honor, I think, no matter who the president is,' the celebrated tight end responded. 'I'm excited because it's the biggest game of my life and having the president there — it's the best country in the world — and that's pretty cool."

Swift had publicly endorsed Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential election. However, an insider told Daily Mail that Swift is not angry about Kelce's comments. Keep in mind that any inside sources should come with a grain of salt.

Travis Kelce And Taylor Swift

"Taylor is not angry at Travis for what he said," a source told the outlet. "Although Travis's quote was taken as he supports Trump, this is not what Travis said at all."

The insider continued, "He never actually even said the word Trump. Travis was speaking on behalf of his entire team and all of his fans when he said it is an honor to have the President of the United States at the game and he would have said the same thing regardless of who the president was."

the source added that the couple hadn't fought about the comments. In fact, it's the opposite. The source said, "Cheering him on has become so exciting for her. Taylor is Travis's biggest cheerleader."

But Swifties aren't happy about the comments at all. They took to social media to put Kelce on blast over what he said.

One wrote on social media, "If my boyfriend says its a great honor to have the man that slanders me constantly I would break up with him immediately."

Another wrote, "No Travis it's not awesome or an honor for that man to be there. His whole answer was just... yikes."

Yet another wrote, "Wow, just wow! He has this huge platform and an opportunity to make his voice heard and THAT'S what he says?? Such a disappointment."

Meanwhile, an inside source revealed the reason that Kelce commented on the president attending the Super Bowl.

They said, "Travis answered the way he did because some of his teammates and friends support Trump, and even though he has attacked Taylor in the past, he doesn't want to get embroiled in a controversy that she gets sucked into, which would have happened if he'd said something derogatory."
