Tim McGraw didn't get to know his father, Tug McGraw, until he was an adult. The singer and former professional baseball player remained close later in Tug's life, until he passed away in 2004 from brain cancer. Although Tim misses his famous father, he does have one gift that is priceless to him and his family: Tug's car.

"One that I'll never sell, my dad had this little Mercedes 280 SL that he bought when they won the '69 World Series, and he bought it with his World Series check," Tim reveals. "And so, he passed that on to me, and all of my daughters learned to drive in that, so that's pretty special."
The World Series that Tug won in '69 was when he played for the New York Mets. Tug also played for the Philadelphia Phillies, where he won a second World Series in 1980.
Tim McGraw's Other Special Car
The vintage Mercedes isn't Tim's only special car. He also has another car, this one with a lot of mileage on it. Although he can afford to buy as many new cars as he wants, the father of three says he will always hold onto this car, for sentimental reasons.
"We have an old SUV that we've had forever," Tim shares. "I don't know how old it is now, and it's one of those I'll never sell because it's got so many memories in it, with my kids growing up. Hauling cheerleaders to football games. and going to basketball practices and softball practices and driving a bunch of cheerleaders to football games. And there were years I'd clean it out and still find pieces of Happy Meals and stuff in there. So, we've had a lot of great times in that car."
Tim's three daughters, whom he shares with his wife, Faith Hill, are all grown. Still, he supports them as much as possible, recently traveling overseas for his youngest daughter, Audrey. Tim is off the road, recovering from multiple surgeries. Fortunately, his physical ailments aren't enough to keep him home. The power couple flew to Copenhagen to watch their daughter Audrey open for Brandi Carlile.
