Zach Bryan has always been big on musical history. It's evident in his influences that guys like Bruce Springsteen play massive roles in his own output. Moreover, he's always been big on emphasizing the authenticity in music. No one is going to buy it if it doesn't come from a genuine place. Consequently, when he gets the opportunity to curb from legends of the past, he's quick to do so.

Recently, Zach spoke out on his Instagram to reveal that he's releasing a song Monday, June 30th. There, he self deprecates a little bit, hoping his fans don't revolt against the record. Additionally, he reveals that he recorded the song at a special studio in London, England. For the single cover, he uses a picture with his friends years ago to spotlight just how far he's come.
"Releasing a song Monday, hope you guys don't hate it. Recorded it at Bowie's old studio across the pond with my best friends, took this photo three years ago at Islington Assembly Hall where I got to sing with Turnpike last night, full circle is a ***** understatement," Bryan says.

This seems to be the first step in Bryan's grand plan to retire. Back in April, he tapped Matthew McConaughey to help build the hype for what could be his last grand artistic statement. "This is not a film about a band, this is a film about a boy from Oklahoma. A boy who joined the Navy, with a love of writing. That writing connected with people, a lot of people," McConaughey says of Zach. "This film is about a group of best friends taking a two-week motorcycle ride across America, while recording one final major label album. Oh, and the title of the film you ask? 'Motorbreath.'"
This does go against the big, fat paycheck he just got from Warner that cites he's on the hook for "at least two albums." It's plausible that this is still the case; he could always call one of his albums something more informal. Regardless, we're bound to get some new Zach Bryan music in the very near future.
